analysis of film poster

in our film poster the colors used were dark and Gothic,it included Black this was to to reinforce the mystery of the character as shadowy black tends to do and red was to represent his pride and dominance of the character, and is accented my white on the typography. These colors were used as we felt they would be more  appeal to our target audience, it would also allow them to second guess what the film was about giving them a little inside knowledge before watching seeing the film.In the second poster we included a little more color this was to brighten the mood to attract a varied audience of both males and females of the teenage age ranging from 11-17

we did not attach any symbols or hieroglyphics text to our film poster this was due to us wanting to keep the story simple so that our target audience would not find it too difficult to keep in tune with the film, we did not want to misread our target audience by making them question every little detail as this is a children's film

in our film poster our main image was the dominance of a young passionate boy dressed as a ninja, in both posters he carry's a sword and a fight me sign this was to show that our ninja was on a sort of quest to intrigue our target audience. the first poster this was done so in a dark and luminous way to attract older children in a more young adult way but in our second poster it was created in brighter colors this was done to attract a wider variation as it adds immaturity and more of the ninjas childishness into factor

the message of the poster is set out in a visual way it shows a prudential youth carrying out a sign stating 'fight me' this shows that the ninja child is on a challenge in which he is looking to face someone, this captures our aim of getting our primary audience of males as fighting is more of a masculine thing.

our target audience for this poster if focused on males this is projected as due to the masculine colors and dark and ambiguous colors portrayed in the film poster it also shows a large amount of ninja fighters in the background this enforces the serious and the passion of the youth to carry out hi target this can also relate to carry out a challenge. The second poster is brighter and shows more of a use of immaturity it does not clearly show how serious the ninja child is and this can be use to attract a wide range of audience as it reinforces comedy into the film

i covered expenses as it would be cheap the mask was no more than six pounds and the swords were a pound each it also made it more commercial as they were clearly immature plastic swords to add humor and lack of expenses and immaturity to our ninja

i feel that the poster attracts its audience well it allows a more intriguing line that will make the audience think and the view rating would out shadow and competitors as they are vary high also done and reviewed by well known critics. the two posters attract their audience well ad due to the color scheme and factors such as the main character it shows a bit and adds knowledge as to what the film is about but those not give much away so still allows a little confusion which will interest the viewers
