question 3

In the creation of a film there are 3 stages: pre production, production and post production these three stages are key in the making of your film. Pre-production is the process of preparing all the elements involved in a film, production is the action of making or manufacturing a film from nothing, films will be done by first making the film giving it tot someone who would look at the film and find distributors would find people to showcase the film t the public by doing this they only have a set time in which the film is leased to them for by doing this only have that specific form after that they have film the film is giving back to the owners were they have to look at it and send it to the media company who made the film and the most probably will have to find other means of exhibition such as DVD or on a n online basis.

BFI is a company that would distribute our film online this is seen as the company looks for creative films that are outside the box they look for films that have an arty and memorable outlook to it so we would go there to do so. “The exhibition of film is a commonplace, shared cultural activity highly visible in every city and town in Britain, constantly feeding the popular memory.” they look at independent films and small organisations.

Another distributed that would consider our consider our film is ‘entertainfilms’ they show distribute with a wide range of genre’s looking to bring in different viewers; it is UK based thus bringing in more UK commercial understanding.
“Entertainment is the UK’s leading independent distributor. The company was founded in 1978 and has showed continuing growth and success since that time distributing a wide range of product and building a significant film library.”

A film festival I found that may be suitable for distributing our film would be ‘SILPIX’ they are an independent agency that focuses on showcasing children’s films,
‘The film festival will showcase more than 26 award winning children movies’ this would allow our film also to be showcased providing more publicity for our film and awareness not just to the public but also to other distributors that can allow more of a financial aid.

Another distribution method is Facebook or Youtube these are free commercial institutions the problem with this is that is shows a wide range of films that looks to promote to a more global audience but as they are promoting to a bigger audience there is more there is more competition in which they look to accept more competition as more people see to showcase their films on such documents there is no way of promoting your movie as it is done online and to a wider audience.
